Maketu are hosting a car clinic for 0-5 year olds at the market day on 29th April 2007.

Aim

To promote a higher and correct use of child restraints through education, awareness and enforcement.

Objectives

To provide free car seat check clinics in Tauranga and Western BOP.

To provide up to date information through the media, information packs, and one on one assistance.

To involve the main partners and community in the campaign.

To involve Safe 2 Go technicians.

To combine enforcement with awareness.

Watch this space - 2007 Car Seat Campaign is about to get into action.

Correct Child Restraint Programme in Maketu 2005

Maketu, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand survey of 0-5 year olds showed a 96% compliance of correct child restraints taken in June.
